How To R petfree: 7 Strategies That Work

The owners literally dictate what, when, and how they eat, pee and poop. It’s pretty inhumane if we’re being honest with ourselves. Let alone all the screwed up selective breeding to turn a wolf into a pug. This is actually my main issue with dogs. Farm dogs or other working dogs don’t bug me.Welcome to r/petfree! I think pet ownership, as it is in popular culture, is an entirely selfish endeavor; if someone isn't caring for an animal that already exists out of the goodness of their heart, then that animal as a pet just exists to be owned by them. Not being home a lot is a big reason I don't want pets. It is ok to not want pets. They cost money and are a responsibility as well as a liability if they damage property. It isn’t healthy to keep a pet in the house, they are vectors for zoonotic diseases, parasites, and other gross stuff. Your kids won’t be missing out on much except the culture that is decaying society. Cats are also a major cause of death from impulsive behavior and suicide. They spread the parasite toxoplasmosis which alters human behavior towards risk taking and anxious, depressive and suicidal behaviors. cacaokakaw • 4 mo. ago. I think one of the biggest issues of pet culture is how people think animals are deeper than they really are. A dog can't help you get out of depression. A cat can't give you advise. A parrot can't understand fix your anxieties. Animals don't comprehend any of these major human issues.22. ThrivingIvy • No pets, no stress • 6 days ago. Yes there are many of us out there.
